Vincent Calvetti

I'm a Library Associate at the Seattle Public Library.

For more than a decade, I've also done qualitative research. I conducted interviews for National Cancer Institute–funded studies at Kaiser Permanente Washington Health Research Institute, and was part of the research team behind Beyond the Count, the first national study of the lived experiences of Jews of Color.

I spent five years in doctoral study at the University of Washington, researching Mizrahi history and the racial formation of Jews of Color, and taught courses on human rights, race in American history, and the modern Middle East. I hold an MA in International Studies from UW and a BA from The Evergreen State College.
